Vacancy Description:

Our client is a multi-disciplined Main Contractor that has brought up on traditional values. The company is experienced in delivering Design and Build, New Build and refurbishment projects in the Residential, Student Accommodation and Commercial Sectors. Due to unprecedented demand, the Client is looking to take on Quantity Surveyors at all levels (Assistant, Intermediate and Senior) to join the Special Projects Division working in projects up to £12M in Value.

In your role as Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following:

- Overseeing cost-analysis and estimating process against an agreed Schedule of Rates.
- Management of all financial matters.
- Cost valuations with subcontractors.
- Negotiation with subcontractors.
- Procurement of all supply items & subcontractor packages
- Preparation of interim valuations.
- Chairing site & client progress meetings.
- Managing interim payments to sub-contractors.
- Regularly updating projected final accounts.
- Mentoring & leading more junior commercial staff
- Regular updating and managing cash flow forecasts
- Preparation and agreement of all final account matters.
- Monthly cost/value reconciliation.
- Pricing of all contract variations.

Experience Required:

- A proven ability to financially manage projects within a framework agreement
- Degree qualified is advantageous, not essential
- Professionally qualified (RICS / CIOB) not essential but preferable
